Critical Security Vulnerability in Web Browsers and other software (WebP)

Today, we have been working on a very serious security vulnerability in a piece of software called WebP.  You’ve probably never heard of it but it’s used in a lot of software and most commonly in your favourite web browser whether that’s Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari.

To make matters worse, this is not just on your computer but also on your mobile devices so please urgently update all your web browsers on your computers and mobile devices.  In fact, now is also a good time to update any other software that has been nagging you to update!

The good news for our Clients on a Managed Services Agreement (MSA) is that the browsers on their computers were already updated for them earlier this week. 🙌

If you would like any further information or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the Team via support@dt.net.au.

Stay safe,

Simon Wong

Director
